Half Day On-Site Syllabus
Introduction
- An outline of the aims and objects of the course - and the need for an awareness of the day to day vigilance which is needed to help prevent the outbreak of fire.
- Talks on the types of extinguishers in relation to fires.
- An explanation to describe why different types of extinguishers are necessary, the method of application etc.
Video projection will be provided
Practical Instruction Of Extinguishers On Live Fires
- Without doubt the most important and beneficial part of the days training. (An area of car park or similar will be required for this.)

- General summarising of everything learnt during the course.
- Certificates of attendance will be issued.
Training Itinery
Fire & Safety Lecture (on site)
- Explanation of safety signs etc.
- What to do in the event of a fire. (use of fire alarms and evacuation procedures)
- Correct use of the various fire extinguishers.
Practical use of Fire Extinguishers (on site)
- (A section of waste ground or car park would be required).
- This course requires a percentage of participants to tackle contained fuel fires with various extinguishers and a fire blanket after an in-depth understanding of equipment.
- Setting up fee and material costs included in the price.
General Fire & Safety Course (on site)
(Use of a video and television would be required as well as a section of waste ground or car park)- This course would include the contents of the above lecture and course with the addition of a video film "knowing your extinguishers".
- Setting up fee and material costs included in the price.
- Caters for 1 to 20 participants. Duration approximately 2 hours, 30 minutes.
- On each of the above courses all participants will receive a certificate of attendance.
